Pat Algiers applies knowledge and experience from many disciplines to deliver client results. Her areas of expertise include visioning, interior design, public art, real estate, brand/market/communication strategy, and project management.
As a strategist, she uses her skill set to help clients leverage the selection of location and design facilities to enhance their interests, organization, and brand. In addition, she consults on operational areas that are brand-related, thus using her abilities to assist clients in creating wholly integrated solutions. Presently, she is involved in projects to ‘reinvent’ the way businesses operate, mirroring their brand in physical space.
Known as a problem solver and creative thinker who gets things done, while a principal at Kahler Slater Architects, Pat authored the unprecedented study, Live Work Play: a System to Identify Economic Opportunities. The study identified strategies to ignite growth in downtown Milwaukee and helped to fuel a movement that continues to change the face of Milwaukee’s central business district. Pat has completed mapping strategies like the above mentioned, in other neighborhoods including Shorewood, Columbia St. Mary’s at North Avenue and Riverwest. Mapping, showing cluster development and often including public art, lends valuable information regarding neighborhood uniqueness, growth patterns and attraction.
Prior to founding Chemistry in Place, Pat's diverse professional experience includes positions as: City of Milwaukee Commissioner of City Development; Corporate & Industrial Studio Strategy Director at EUA Architects; and Principal at Kahler Slater Architects.
