Quarles & Brady LLP - Indianapolis

Quarles & Brady LLP added Indianapolis as its ninth office after having been attracted to the business community and dynamics of the city for some time.  Quarles entered the Indianapolis market by starting with a white box on the completely demolished 24th floor of the BMO Building at 135 N. Pennsylvania, which is in the heart of the Indianapolis business district. The space is fresh, light, open, and flexible, with 360 views of downtown.

The white box allowed Quarles to start with a fresh palette in creating a client-centric space designed to innovatively address how law is practiced now and to anticipate how it will be practiced  throughout the course of the 10 year lease. Its monochromatic coloration comes alive when occupants use the space: people are the focus, with the space as the backdrop.  There are generous client hospitality areas, including coffee lounge spaces.

Steelcase Via wall system was chosen for the space. It is both flexible and beautiful in its streamlined look and finishes – we paired it and Steelcase EE6 with Milliken’s Art Media Op Art Carpet -- and consider the two manufacturers and product lines to be “perfect pairings” for work we do with Quarles.

The photographic art collection, selections made from a competition from the Herron School of Art and Design, grounds and adds depth to the space. The suite is a study in contrast, which is key to its appeal, comfort, efficiency and livability.

The flexible space allows for Quarles to intuitively respond to changes and growth and thereby keep the space up to date for years to come. Single size attorney offices, height- adjustable desks, and personal wardrobes create flexibility in relocating staff.  “Third Spaces” are found throughout, allowing for collaboration and focused work. “Mobility Space” gives visiting clients, attorneys and staff places to work efficiently. A Walkstation Room with a view of downtown allows attorneys and staff to stretch their legs.
